The Ravelry Book Group did another swap last month. This time we had to put together a "literary parcel", i. e. all the ingredients had to be connected somehow. Here are my goodies which came all the way from Norway.
A Tree grows in Brooklyn by Betty Smith, which I have wanted to read for a long time! Accompanied by a sock pattern inspired and called after the main character in the novel: Francie. Matching sock yarn and Brittany sock knitting needles!!! Stitch Markers, delicious green tea and chocolate.
I have to admit that the chocolate is already gone. I began both socks and novel on Sunday and so far like them very much. Thank you Hege!
Die Ravelry Book Group hatte mal wieder einen Swap. Dieses Mal ging es darum ein Päckchen rund um einen Roman zusammenzustellen. Mein Päckchen kam aus Norwegen und verwöhnte mich mit
A Tree grows in Brooklyn von Betty Smith. Ein Roman von 1943, den ich schon lange lesen wollte. Passend dazu eine Sockenanleitung, die nach der Hauptfigur des Romans Francie benannt ist. Außerdem Sockenwolle und Brittany Sockennadeln, Maschenmarkierer, köstlichen grünen Tee und Schokolade.
Die Schokolade haben wir schon aufgegessen :D. Sowohl den Roman als auch die Socken habe ich am Sonntag angefangen. Bislang gefallen mir beide sehr gut. Vielen Dank Hege!.
