Yarn amount needed for crochet shirt (the two balls given for smaller sizes are not enough if you do the crochet edging):

Schachenmeyer Catania (100 % cotton; approx. 136 yards [125 meters]/50 grams): Color 0237 (MC), 3 (3, 3, 3, 3 , 3, 3) balls;

Japanese wrapped Flower Stitch (10 sts repeat):

Friday Eye Candy

Last week in the Botanical Garden. Letztes Wochenend im Botanischen Garten

King of blankets - blanket of kings

Hard to believe that this was a Christmas present for my daughter, isn't it? It took me several month of secret knitting to get this blanket done on time. However, it was well worth the effort as my daughter loves it and uses it every day and night on her bed!

Kaum zu glauben, dass dies hier noch ein Weihnachtsgeschenk ist. Es dauerte einige Monate geheimen Strickens bis die Decke pünktlich zu Weihnachten fertig war. Nun aber ziert sie das Bett meiner Tochter Tag und Nacht.

Pattern: Lucinda Guy, And so to Bed, Snooze pattern
Yarn used: Linen from my stash (I had made a baby blanket for her from the same material, which she still loves)
Modifications to the pattern: Instead of doing each square seperately, I knit striped. As a result, I had less sewing to do. Blanket was made longer by adding a square lengthwise.

Material: Leinen aus dem Vorrat (Ich hatte ihr schon mal eine Babydecke daraus gemacht, die sie sehr liebt)
Änderungen: Statt jeden Fleck einzeln zu stricken, habe ich lange Streifen gestrickt und hernach zusammengenäht, das ersparte doch viel Näharbeit. :D
Außerdem habe ich in der Länge eine Reihe hinzugefügt, sonst wäre die Decke etwas kurz gewesen.

es tut mir sehr leid, dass ich es derzeit nicht schaffe zu bloggen. Allerdings arbeite ich momentan Überstunden und bin zudem mit der Vorbereitung einiger Familienfeiern beschäftigt, so dass ich leider nicht die Zeit und Muse finde. Ich hoffe, das ändert sich bald wieder.

Heute möchte ich aber ganz eigennützig auf die neue Knotions Summer hinweisen in der ein weiteres meiner Designs zu finden ist. Ein Mädchenshirt. Die Preview gibt es schon zu sehen.
