Nouveau

You didn't think you'd have to wait for a new blog entry until I have finished one of the many WiPs, did you?

There are a few things, that I finished over the past couple of weeks and wish I haven't show you yet. This is one of them. A crochet scarf by Jo Sharp. The pattern is called Nouveau and I crocheted it from the Lana Grossa yarn my secret pal Clasca gave me. I have got some green variegated mohair in my stash and I may crochet another scarf like this from it.

Bye the way, I opened the comments to everyone. I am sorry it was only possible for people with blogger accounts before.

Welcome

Hi everyone,
Welcome to my new home. Movement took some time, but now I think, most things have found their place again and we can start inhibiting this new place. As in real life, the main reason for moving my blog was the need for more space - in this case more space for pictures. In the future, I will not have to delete my pictures so quickly as in the past.

A few changes are always included in a movement. The layout is different and the name has been slightly altered. Instead of just "Mindful Knitting" my blog is now called "SaRi's Mindful Knitting". This blog doesn't have additional pages, so you'll find these features as lists in the side bar.
(For this once, I'll mix the English and German text. From next post onwards, I promise, to do them seperately again.)

Willkommen in meinem neuen zuhause.

As a first, I thought I would open the boxes for you and show you all my WiPs:

1. Tuscany from No Sheep For You - only 1 pattern repeat missing/ nur noch 1 Rapport dann bin ich fertig:

2. plain pair of socks from Wollmeise "Suzanne" - second sock nearly finished.

3. Diamonds and Flowers Stole - still a good deal to knit

4. Mystery Stole - Oh no, this was supposed to be done by the end of August!

5. Starmore Afghan - I have still 4 patches to knit and long stripes to connect the patches.

6. Kells - my oldest UFO/mein ältestes UFO

7. Diamond upon Diamond: such a beautiful Fair Isle, but I have to reorder one of the reds, as there is a mistake in the pattern. When will I do it?

8. Mondnacht stole: I really want to knit this, but I'll finish No 1 & 3 & 4 first.

9. Lacy Waves Top: Once I have finished the socks, this will be my mindless knitting.

10. Crochet cardigan: I have finished crocheting the single flowers, now I need to sew them together. If I manage to sew 4 per day, the cardigan will be finished by Christmas!

11. Scarf from my SP 10 yarn: Once the socks are done, this will be the commuting project.

12. Diamond: This is my problem child. I have once more displaced the pattern (Does the knitting goddess want to tell me something?). I can do the diamonds, but I don't know how they did the sleeves for this sweater. In addition, the yarn will only be enought to finish the body, I'll have to use another yarn (the solid color) for the sleeves. I don't know whether I'll like that really. What do you think, shall I frog it?

My September goals: Finish No 1 to 4.

Mein Septemberziel: Projekte 1 - 4 fertig zu stricken.

See you!

Here is the photo that didn't work last week, my new cook book and a wonderful vintage ice scoop. I love this new series by Villeroy and Boch, but I would never have bought it myself. Thank you so much, dear J.

This is another (and the last) piece I knitted for my Secret Pal Ingrid It is a lavender heart for which the pattern is available on Knitting Daily It is a modular knitted heart and a bit fiddly to do, but well worth the effort. I'll certainly do more for Christmas. However, I shall reduce the number of stitches used in the original pattern, as it has turned out bigger than I expected.Bye the way, you can see more pics of the melon stole and a close-up on Ingrid's blog.
