Presents

It is high time to show you the knit-wise presents I received for Christmas!

A German sock knitting book (I have cast on for the first pair)

A ball of NORO sockyarn!
Ein Knäuel NORO Sockengarn!

Two hanks of a Alpaca Silk Lace yarn for future lace project. (I have just joined 10 shawls in 2010 on ravelry, so this yarn has a good chance to be knit soon).

A set of Knitpicks dpns. A knitter can never have too many of these.

And my dear friend Ingrid, who is a full-time working mom with hardly any time to knit, made this phantastic scarf for me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Isn't it awesome?

Poppy

Every year Christmas articles, especially sweets, but also decoration seem to appear earlier in the shops, don't they? We have had typical Christmas sweets in the shops since early August!!! And yesterday, I discovered that the china shop has gotten out its Christmas decorations!

Well, whether this worked on me sub-consciously or whether it was just the cuteness of the doll, I finished this Christmas present on the weekend. Poppy by Ysolda knit from sock yarn. I used two strands at the same time, as I did not have any DK weight yarn in my stash. Since Poppy goes to one of two sisters, I will knit another one for the sister.
